Among 10 finalists from 6 nations Eleonore Marguerre convinced the international Jury performing the part of "Gilda" to be awarded 1rst Prize and Gold Medal int the 48th Year of the Competition. She is the first German soprano ever to win a first prize at this Competition which was won by singers such as Anna Tomowa-Sintow or Rosalind Plowright in former years.
